Make your
letters count.
This free Scrabble solver finds English words you can make with up to seven rack tiles, including two blanks. Results appear in descending score order, so the highest-scoring choices come first. Longer words break score ties, followed by alphabetical order.
Compare ordinary tile scores
English Scrabble letters have different values. Q and Z are worth ten points, J and X eight, and K five. For example, QUIZ scores 22 points before board bonuses: 10 + 1 + 1 + 10. If a blank supplies Q, the same word scores 12.
Find a seven-tile play
A result that places seven new tiles receives the 50-point bingo bonus. Blanks count as tiles for this bonus, but their individual letter value stays zero. Results with this bonus are marked bingo.
Work around a board letter
Enter a board pattern when the position you want to fill already contains letters. In ..A.., A is an existing board letter, while each dot is a place for a tile from your rack. The solver matches a five-letter word with A in the middle; it does not spend a rack tile on that existing A.
A score estimate.
Your board finishes it.
Scores include ordinary letter values and the seven-new-tile bonus. Existing letters in your pattern are scored at their normal tile value. If an existing board letter is actually a blank, subtract its letter value yourself.
The solver does not model the full board. Double or triple squares, perpendicular words, placement legality, and endgame adjustments are not included. A lower-ranked word can therefore be the better actual move if it fits a valuable square or creates several crossing words.
Words come from the public-domain ENABLE English list, which differs from current NASPA and Collins tournament dictionaries. Check your game's agreed dictionary before playing a disputed word. Good questions.
Straight answers.
How do I use a Scrabble solver?
Enter your rack letters, add ? for a blank if needed, and select Find highest scores. Add a board pattern only if you want to fit words around fixed letters.
Does the score include double-word or triple-letter squares?
No. It shows ordinary tile points plus an eligible 50-point bingo bonus. Apply board premiums and any crossing-word scores separately.
Does a blank count toward a bingo?
Yes. Placing seven new tiles earns the 50-point bonus even when one or two tiles are blanks.
What do underlined letters mean?
An underlined letter is supplied by a blank from your rack. It scores zero rather than that letter's normal value.
Are these official tournament words?
The search uses ENABLE. Current tournament dictionaries can accept or reject different words, so results are practice suggestions rather than official word rulings.
