Empty

Blank to the eye.
Still a character.

An invisible character is text that can look blank while still containing a Unicode character. Copy the default Hangul filler above for one blank-looking character, or choose a different type and quantity. There is no need to generate the result separately: it changes when you change the settings.

Copy and paste

Select Copy invisible character, then paste into your text editor or another app. You can also select the output manually and use your device's copy command. Open Test your paste to check whether your clipboard contains characters rather than an empty string.

Choose the right blank

Hangul filler, U+3164, and Braille blank, U+2800, generally occupy a visible blank area. Zero-width space, U+200B, normally takes no horizontal space and can create a line-break opportunity. Non-breaking space, U+00A0, keeps the text on either side together. These characters serve different purposes.

Set the amount

The tool can repeat the selected character from one to ten thousand times. Copying several blank characters can help with a formatting test, but every character still counts toward an app's text limit.

Try it in
the destination.

People use blank text for spacing experiments, layout tests, display names, and messages where an app permits it. Support depends on the destination's font and text rules. An app may remove a zero-width character, replace a missing glyph with a box, or reject a name made only of blank characters.

No blank character works everywhere. If you see a square or an unexpected gap, try a different character type or use ordinary spacing. Follow the destination's naming and formatting rules. For decorative letters rather than blank text, try the cute font generator.

Good questions.
Straight answers.

How do I copy an invisible character?

Use Copy invisible character for the default single blank character. Paste it with Ctrl+V, Cmd+V, or your phone's paste command.

Is an invisible character the same as a regular space?

No. The selected Unicode characters have different behavior from an ordinary space, U+0020. All of them are still text characters.

Which option has zero width?

Zero-width space, U+200B, normally takes no horizontal room. Hangul filler and Braille blank generally occupy a blank area.

Will blank text work in a game nickname?

It depends on the game and its current naming rules. Some accept a blank-looking character, while others strip it or require visible letters. This tool cannot guarantee acceptance.

Why does the output look empty?

That is expected. Check the character count or paste into Test your paste to distinguish blank text from an empty field.
